Oh my Christmas

Well...alrighty. Its snowing like crazy down here right now. My oldest is playing with her littlest pet shop behind me and the baby and my Harley Man are sitting watching a mixture of flipping channels of Hells kitchen and Dr.Phil (gag) So...its official....Harley Man gave me an engagement/wedding ring. I'll clear this up though....we are NOT....I repeat...NOT setting a date. I have always said I never wanted to be married and he...being married twice before isn't protesting. :) Why the ring then? you ask....well he looked at me with misty eyes stating he wanted to show everyone how committed he is...but doesn't need the piece of paper to prove it. He wanted me to know how much he loves me.

He gave it to me on christmas eve. The kids were in bed...I was scrambling to wrap presents and get things cleaned up as well as I could. He had been sooo excited earlier that night when we were driving back to tooele from slc. He said " I hope you like black....your present is black" I had been trying to convince him that he really should tell me...but he refused. Damn surprises. :) So after his shower...he told me that he had talked to a hispanic man on the bus (that he operates) and that the man had told him that they celebrate their christmas on the night before. So knowing that and Harley Man wanting to help keep my heritages' culture in my life...said "You must find your present and open it tonight" YEA!! for hispanics!! lol jk So there it was, a small gold box, under the christmas tree surrounded by crap crap and more crap. I felt myself giggling because of the gold wrapping I thought "I got a golden ticket!! i got a golden ticket!! i'm going to go to the chocolate factory!!"

So taking a deep breath...I slid the gold paper off...opened the green ring box and "Ah ah ah" angels sang, bells rang and the sound of me hyperventalating filled the room. It was a beautiful black diamond, accented with four white diamonds on either side. YES its real!
DOWN COME THE WATER WORKS!!
Oh hell Im a girl again. The words between he and I are permanently embedded into my soul...and I am so very happy.
He could have given me a twisty tie and I would have been just as content. (but it wouldn't hold up I'm sure in the dish water)

I love my harley man.
